Second Grade Author Visit
Nina Crews
Friday, May 24th, 2019 in the P.S. 32 library

Book, “Seeing Into Tomorrow” Haiku by Richard Write, Biography, and Illustrations by Nina Crews

Dear 2nd Graders & Parents,
We are excited to bring Brooklyn-based, acclaimed author-illustrator, Nina Crews, to our library to speak to the second-grade classes.

Please note, this talk is during school hours and is for the students only but we want to let parents know so they can help their kids get familiar with Nina’s books before the visit.

Nina will talk about where ideas come from, thinking in pictures, and using a camera and collage. She will also read from her books.

Before the visit
We have purchased some copies of the books shown above for the 2nd-grade classrooms so students can become familiar with Nina’s work before the visit. There are also additional copies in the library that students may check out.

To make the most out of Nina’s visit:

  • Consider checking out Nina’s books from the school or public library.
  • Talk up the visit before the actual date. The more excited the kids are about it, the more they’ll get out of it.

For more information, visit Nina’s website at  ninacrews.com  If you have any questions or suggestions for this author visit, please contact our P.S. 32 Librarian, Adam, at adam.marcus@ps32.org We are looking forward to a great visit!
