The Garden Committee is working on creating a Strawberry Patch. Come on Saturday and help the Garden Committee transform 6-8 recycled containers into a strawberry patch for the school. The workshop is from 10am – noon, THIS Saturday, May 11.

You will learn the step-by-step process of how to build your own sub-irrigated planter and we will set up the first 6-8 to create a strawberry patch for the school. Once that is complete, we will have enough materials for you to construct your own to take home.

PLEASE RSVP to Bess Hauser. We must have at least six participating families to hold the workshop. We also need to know how much material we should have on hand.

It’s not too late to apply to pre-kindergarten (pre-k) at public schools and community-based organizations (CBOs) for the 2013-2014 school year!

Public School Pre-K Programs
The deadline to apply for public school pre-k programs is Friday, April 5, 2013. Families can submit an application online or in person at an enrollment office.

CBO Pre-K Programs
Families can also still apply to community-based organization (CBO) pre-k programs, which have no specific application deadline. To apply, families should deliver the CBO application directly to each CBO site.

Pre-K Directory
Families should refer to the Pre-K Directory for more information about the pre-k admissions process. The directory is available online, at enrollment offices and at public elementary schools with pre-k.

During inclement weather, students in grades 2-5 that are dismissed from the big yard will be dismissed immediately if parents/guardians are there. Please make every effort to arrive on time for dismissal. If your child attends Good Shepherd and you want to sign them out early from programming, you will need to wait until 3:30 p.m. to sign them out. No parents will be sent to the cafeteria for pick up. This will help ensure a smoother transition with locating your child at the end of the day.

If you need to pick your child up early, please make every effort to do it before 3:00 p.m. This will also help make our dismissal transition smoother.

The First Annual Spring Auction is a silent auction fundraiser for the P.S. 32 PTA. It’s an ADULTS ONLY evening of fun, food, drinks, and music, where guests can bid on dozens of amazing items—including dinners out, salon services, artwork for the home, kids classes, and much, much more.

WHERE WILL THE MONEY GO?
Proceeds from the event will go to the PTA, and will be used to fund items and programs that will enhance our children’s school experience. Think technology, enrichment classes, gardening supplies, family nights, and more!
