At PS32 all students attend dance class once a week, exploring creative movement. They learn a variety of dance styles and techniques, from classical to popular, to gain an appreciation for this art form while getting exercise, building confidence, and having fun. Students create their own dances and explore the medium as a form of cultural expression. The older grades work on more complex choreography and participate in residencies with guest artists. The classes culminate in a winter holiday show, co-conceived with the music director, where students perform in front of their families.
